DAY 01 – ARRIVAL COLOMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT / COLOMBO

  • Arrival at Colombo International Airport – Welcome with Kandyan dancers and elephant & flower garland
  • Check into Hotel
  • Lunch at Hotel. Afternoon high- tea at Hotel
  • Afternoon Colombo City Tour. (2 Hrs – 3 Hrs)
  • At the end of the City Tour return to hotel by tuk tuk (a ride by three wheeler)
  • Dinner at Hotel
  • Overnight stay at Taj Samudra Hotel or similar

DAY 02 – COLOMBO / KANDY

  • Breakfast at Hotel
  • Proceed to Kandy
  • Visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
  • Lunch at Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage
  • Check into Mahaweli Reach Hotel
  • Visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden
  • Tea at Peradeniya Botanical Garden
  • Dinner at Mahaweli Reach Hotel
  • Overnight stay at Mahaweli Reach Hotel or similar

DAY 03 – KANDY / DAMBULLA / HABARANA / SIGIRIYA / KANDY

  • Breakfast at Hotel
  • Leave hotel and proceed to Sigiriya
  • Climbing the Sigiriya Rock
  • Lunch at Habarana
  • Elephant ride at Habarana
  • Visit Dambulla Cave Temple
  • Return to Kandy
  • Visit Matale Spice Garden
  • Special Spice Tea at the Highland Spice Garden
  • Visit Buddhist Aluvihara Temple and Hindu Mari Amman
  • Dinner at Mahaweli Reach Hotel
  • Overnight stay at Mahaweli Reach Hotel or similar

DAY 04 – KANDY / TEA PLANTATION / KANDY

  • Breakfast at Hotel
  • Proceed to Ramboda Falls
  • Outdoor picnic lunch (weather permitting) – introducing cricket at the grounds, help teaching the basics of the game and a local team will be invited for a match
  • Visit tea plantation and factory. Witness the processing of tea and participate in tea plucking. Tasting of freshly brewed tea
  • Return to Mahaweli Reach Hotel
  • Visit Kandy Temple at Pooja Time
  • Kandyan Cultural Dance and fire walking
  • Farewell Dinner at Mahaweli Reach Hotel
  • Overnight stay at Mahaweli Reach Hotel or similar

DAY 05 – KANDY / COLOMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

  • Breakfast at Hotel
  • Proceed to Colombo
  • Lunch
  • Check-in to Hotel (Day Room – for shower)
  • Transfer in time for their departure flight; distribution farewell present
  • Sri Lanka Tour Ends

HIGHLIGHTS DURING THE TOUR

  • Airport – Special welcome arrangements on arrival with elephant, Kandyan dance and offering of individual flower garland
  • Colombo – a ride by three wheeler (tuk tuk).
  • Kegalle – Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage witnessing the bathing of elephants and feeding of milk to baby elephants
  • Nuwara Eliya – tea picking by guests at tea factory and tasting of the freshly brewed tea.
  • Nuwara Eliya – outdoor picnic lunch (weather permitting; when the weather is adverse, a luncheon will be given at the colonial Hill Club: formal dress code needed) – introducing cricket at the grounds, teaching the basics of the game and a local team is invited for a match.
  • Visits to batik factory, spice gardens, handicrafts, mask making, gem and jewellery manufacturing.
  • At the end of the tour a special gift (an ornamental brass plate) will be presented to each customer.

COMPLEMENTS :

  • On arrival garland welcome with elephant – the event will be photographed and the photos will be given to each participant at the end of the tour.
  • At the end of the tour a special gift will be presented to each participant.
  • Throughout the tour the guest will be served king coconut if wished.
  • We grant one bona-fide tour leader on the basis of the group for every 15 paying pax (maximum of three (3) tour leaders to a group).
